Enjoy a stay at «Les Asphodèles -Vallée de la Vis», for a family vacation or with friends. Our lodge is a renovated silk-farm in the Cevennes (Southern France), in a quiet and wildlife rich park along the river. Jocelyne and Bruno welcome you, discreet but available to provide infos and solutions you may need.
The fully equipped lodge can easily accept 8 guests, in 4 bedrooms with shower or bathroom each, a large living-room(dining room, kitchen, salon, fireplace). 150 sq.m (1600 sq. ft) wide, it’s on the 2nd floor of the silk farm, and has its own entrance.
A part of the park is for you only: swimming pool, river bank, bamboo grove, and also a well equipped summer kitchen with shady pergola and a resting area with deckchairs and hammocks. We have places, equipment and games for your children.

The place is located within the Vallée de la Vis (Vis river valley), rated Wild River by the WWF. Walk or drive along the country to discover its exceptional environment and history. Graded spots and territories, such as The Cirque de Navacelles (geological circus graded Grand Site de France), in the territory « Grands Causses et Cévennes» (Unesco World Heritage).
Our village is near Montpellier. Access by plane, TGV (fast train) or motorway.
Many activities available: trekking, astronomy, trout fishing, canoe-kayak, climbing, speleology and other unusual hobbies.

We were looking for a place that would suit four adults and three kids and this was pretty much perfect. A pool with stunning views, close to an outdoor kitchen – which we used for lunch and dinner almost every day, and a river at the bottom of the garden gave us all of the nature and facilities we wanted. Plus we were well positioned to explore the local gorges, mountains, rivers and caves. Bruno and his wife are lovely souls and added to the peace of the place. Definitely recommended.

We had a wonderful time at Les Asphodeles. The directions given by Jocelyne and Bruno were very useful and we easily found the Villa. J&B made us feel at home and were ready to fulfill any of our requests, where possible. Quiet surroundings, incredible garden, cozy villa. The villa was very comfortable, roomy and clean. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was very complete and spacious as well. We were a group of 8 people and truly felt we had more than enough space and privacy. Now, the outdoor kitchen and veranda, adjacent to the pool, were just fantastic. We could prepare and eat our lunches there and stay for hours enjoying the garden, the pool, the river. J& B made sure there were lounge chairs, hammocks, and anything we needed to relax and enjoy the sun. We recommend buying fresh trout about a mile away from Les Asphodeles and cooking them on the gas hot plate by the outdoor kitchen. Those were the best!! We also recommend renting bikes. You can explore the surroundings and see beautiful nature that way. There is a lot to see around Gornies so we could combine restful days at the Asphodeles with day trips to visit the surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. Thank you Jocelyne & Bruno!
